Tung Oil is a traditional finish for boats. Shellac is alcohol based and repels water. High solid items such as DBLO, and oil blends offer moderately low water resistance.

Application - Protection against rust on metal tools

Products that form a hard resin with sealant and lubricant properties work well for this. We recommend Double Boiled Linseed Oil and Paste Wax. Mineral Oil also works well for temporary protection.
